Lehi Days

The Lehi 15th Ward has been in the "Lehi Days" parade for the the past several years. This year was no exception. Our ward asked Lexey and I to be on the float. We really had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. The theme for all of the participants was "what if". Our ward chose the theme "What if we could meet our heroes." Lexey and I were asked to dress up as Joseph and Emma Smith. On the float we had Abraham Lincoln, Betsy Ross, Sacajawea, and Einstein. Several of the primary kids followed along dressed up as military men and women, doctors, nurses, and teachers. There was a short parade and float competition on Friday night with all of the local wards and businesses who entered. Saturday morning the awards were handed and our float received the "Most Patriotic" award. We were all really excited. The Saturday morning parade was a lot longer as several of the surrounding cities and counties were participating. There were a lot of really big and extravagant floats. We weren't able to take very many pictures, due to the fact that we had to stand on our float the whole time. So hopefully you enjoy the pictures of just us.

Yep, I wouldn't expect Lexey's Emma to be wearing anything but flipflops. :)
Looks like you guys had a great time.
