In the Presence of Giants

Friday marked an important date for Zions Bank and the redevelopment project of downtown Salt Lake City. The re-skin project and renovations of the old Kennecott building were complete. Several local government officials, church leaders, and Zions Bank customers were invited to the dedication of the building. Our department was lucky enough to be invited up to the 18th floor to take part in the luncheon and dedication. We were seated in an overflow section and were able to watch on flat screen monitors the proceedings from the adjacent room. Governor Hunstman was the key note speaker and then the Zions Bank building was dedicated by President Gordon B. Hinckley. After the ceremony was over, Dan and I went out into the hallway to catch a glimpse of some of the famous people in attendance. We waived to Gov. Huntsman, Elder Perry, Elder Scott, Elder Nelson, President Faust, and many others as they walked by. Of course none of them knew who we were but it was still fun to be in the presence of such influential and spiritual individuals.
