Lexey and I took off for sunny California. It was quite the drive but well worth it. Listed below you will find the pictures and blurbs of all the fun things we were able to do. We hope you all enjoy!
Sunday, October 8
We were able to attend the Long Beach ??th ward. It was nice to see how the church runs outside of Utah, where members acutally look forward to going to church to help and encourage one another. It was fast sunday and when someone stood up to bear their testimony, they would start off by saying the usua, "Good morning bothers and sisters," however, the congregation would respond back with a warm, loud "Good morning!" It was very interesting but we both felt so welcome.
Monday, October 9We decided to sleep in and just relax for most of the day. That afternoon we took off down the PCH to Seal Beach. We were able to walk along the beach and watch the sunset. Ahhh, how romantic!! We strolled along the pier and then waded in the ocean. We were able to find a few seashells and we even found a star fish!!

Tuesday, October 10
Disneyland!!! Need I say more? We were able to spot Captain Jack Sparrow and even ran into Mickey Mouse. The Haunted Mansion was transformed into the Nightmare before Christmas and the line for Splash Mountain was still an hour and a half wait!! (Don't worry, we didn't wait that long)

Wednesday, October 11
We decided to take a day trip and headed down to San Diego to go to the temple. Lexey and I were both in awe of how beatiful it is inside. For those of you who have never been there before, the temple is right off the 405, which is one of the busiest freeways in southern California. As soon as you enter the doors of the temple, you can't hear one car outside. It is so peaceful.
